Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Organising Committee, we are honored to invite you to participate in the 67th Congress of the Italian Physiological Society (SIF), that will be held in Catania on 21-23 September 2016.

Catania is a very attractive city, which enchants visitors for its rich history and enviable geographical position between the charming Etna Volcano and the splendid Ionic Gulf. The meeting will be located entirely in the Benedictine Monastery, a jewel of the late Sicilian Baroque. Founded in 1558 by a cassinese congregation, the complex is a unique place that tells the human and historical events of the Etna city from antiquity to the present day.

The scientific programme will be full of interesting symposia, workshops, many of which dedicated to young physiologists and plenary lectures held by distinguished italian and foreign scientists. The aim of the meeting will be to include the basic stones of classical Physiology with wide open borders that distinguish modern Physiology.

We hope for your enthusiastic participation and we are sure that you can conjugate a moment of fundamental scientific debate to a pleasant stay in our lovely city.
